In collaboration with ALPHA BANK, all card transactions are processed via the Alpha e-Commerce platform. Card information (card number, CVV2/CVC2, expiration date) is transmitted over the Internet in encrypted form (SSL 128-bit encryption) and is not accessible by the online store. Alpha Bank’s systems prevent unauthorized third-party access to data and IT systems. The Bank’s webpage, where the cardholder inputs their card information, holds a digital certificate to confirm authenticity and ensure it truly belongs to Alpha Bank’s e-Commerce service. The Alpha e-Commerce service is managed by authorized company personnel with personal login credentials (username, password). If the issuing bank supports a secret code for online card payments and the cardholder has received such a code, the Alpha e-Commerce service will automatically prompt the customer to enter their secret code. The service is fully compliant with the 3D-Secure security protocols of major card organizations (American Express SafeKey, Verified by Visa, MasterCard SecureCode) for safe online card payments. Once the card details are entered, the customer will be asked to input their 3D-Secure code to verify cardholder identity. Verification is completed via the issuing bank, after which the customer returns to the transaction page to finalize the purchase.
